Greetings ~

Three sister ships were built. The Titanic, Olympic and Britannic. Two would meet fateful ends only a few years apart. Only one, the Olympic would go on to have a full life transporting passengers and freight across the Atlantic for several decades until being retired and finally scraped.

This blog is about the smallest of the three ships, the Britannic. Originally built as a luxury liner as it's sister ships, the Britannic would be transformed into a hospital ship for British service during World War I. It would not recover and would become a victim of the war after running over a mine in the water.

The following is a host of photographs of the Britannic. With the Titanic disaster, the Britannic has never really gotten it's dues. So I have tried to include as much as I could on this blog. Thanks for stopping by to look over the pictures and read the story. I dedicate this blog to all those who died aboard the Britannic.
